About Cake Box
At 469 Durham Road, NE9 5EX you will find Cake Box, an eggless cake shop serving Low Fell, Newcastle upon Tyne. Everything on the cake counter is made without eggs, which makes it a go-to for vegetarian celebrations and many families of South Asian heritage. It is one of 248 Cake Box locations we list across the UK.
We do not hold confirmed hours for this particular branch – station and shopping-centre branches often open earlier and close later than high-street ones. The Food Standards Agency register lists a hygiene rating of 5/5, awarded on 27 June 2025 by Gateshead.
Rail links are some distance away – Gateshead Stadium tram stop is about 1.5 mi off – so plan to drive, cycle or catch a local bus. 3 other bakeries sit within about ten minutes' walk, which makes Low Fell a good area to compare loaves and cakes. From central Newcastle upon Tyne it is roughly 2.6 mi away. On-site details we know about: vegetarian options.
